Open Door COVID-19 Update 3/16

We continue to adapt and to the changing recommendations from national and local authorities regarding COVID-19. Today the CDC recommended cancelling all gatherings of greater than 10 people. Groups fall into that category. As a result, we are asking that all those who can attend group virtually do so.

We will be sending out emails with the process to join virtual groups. We continue to work with payers to determine coverage, and we encourage you to contact your insurance carrier to advocate for coverage for your telehealth services. Everyday new payers are announcing changes to rules to allow telehealth coverage. For those of you who do not have coverage, we reiterate that we will work with you on a sliding scale to make treatment possible and affordable. For this week, as we allow the world to catch up, we will waive the charge for group for those whose insurance denies coverage.

We are hopeful this will allow all of you to keep coming and receiving group services. For those of you who are unable to attend virtually, we will have a place for you in the group room this week! We are spacing chairs and limiting attendance in the room to provide safe environment for you. Please help us by following the guidelines established earlier–wash your hands, don’t touch your face, stay home if you don’t feel well.
