Maureen uses a strengths-based, person-centered approach to provide individualized opportunities and resources to support clients as they learn and integrate sustainable skills to meet their personal goals and needs.

Tailoring treatment to each person, Maureen utilizes a variety of modalities in the therapeutic process including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (M.I.), Trauma and Tension Release (TRE), yoga therapy (mindfulness, breathing techniques, movement), Somatic Experiencing, coaching, and more. Maureen is a Certified TRE Provider, a Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT), and is currently training in Somatic Experiencing. Her goal is to empower clients with knowledge, skills, tools, and support so you leave each session feeling stronger, healthier, and happier.

Prior to counseling, Maureen had extensive experience as a public-school teacher and Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT). Her background in education and working with people with anxiety, depression, chronic stress, and trauma fuels her passion to work collaboratively with people to create healthy lifestyle habits in mind, body, and spirit.
