MJ has a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marquette University and a Bachelors Science in Psychology and Biology with a certificate in Health in the Humanities from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

MJ uses evidence-based third-wave behaviorist approaches like Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). Using compassion and collaboration, MJ works with adolescent and adult clients. Her special interests include trauma-informed care, group work, and any mental health concerns related to pregnancy, postpartum disorders, and infertility.

Her goal is to work collaboratively with clients to provide a safe, non-judgmental space to grow and make necessary changes.
