ODCFC is committed to the health of our clients and the overall community. We are aware that the Governor has declared a state of emergency and has mandated that all public schools be closed effective 3/18. We will continue to provide mental health services to our clients during this time of need.
However, ODCFC is making the following recommendations to protect the safety of the community and to help stop the spread of the virus:
- We encourage all individuals who are feeling unwell or live in a home with others who are unwell to stay home. WE WILL BE OFFERING TELEHEALTH SESSIONS TO ALL WHO CHOOSE TO RECEIVE SERVICES VIA THIS METHOD. Please note that not all health plans cover telehealth sessions. We encourage you to contact your payer directly for guidance and to encourage them to cover telehealth. Medicare, Optum, Aetna, Cigna and others have passed rule changes allowing telehealth sessions for most services during this time. ODCFC is reaching out to other payer groups—including CCS—to ascertain benefits and encourage access to telehealth for our clients. If you wish to pay out of pocket for these services, your therapist can discuss self-pay options with you.
- If you are in group, please be aware of your health and do not attend group if you are sick. We ask that you stop in the restroom and wash your hands prior to entering the room. We will try to have hand sanitizer available as well. Per CDC guidelines, please try not to touch your face.
- If you become ill or decide you feel uncomfortable coming to your session, we will waive late cancel fees if you let us know in advance, even if it is within the stated 24- hour notice window. We may still choose to charge for NoShows if you do not let us know your plans.
