What: Book Club using “Set Boundaries, Find Peace: a guide to reclaiming yourself” by Nedra Glover Tawwab

 

Target population and skills: CCS clients with desire to build mindfulness skills and engage in a mindfulness practice to manage anxiety, regulate mood, and create a sense of calm in mind and body.

 

When: Mondays @ 1:00-2:00PM. Start date is TBD, currently planning for after the holidays.

 

Where: Virtual via Google Meet (link to be sent after registration)

 

Description:

Each member will be responsible for purchasing their own copy of the book.

We will meet each week to discuss concepts in the book and how we can integrate them in skillful ways to create a healthier version of ourselves.

Supportive DBT and Somatic Experiencing skills may be taught and integrated throughout the sessions for distress tolerance and emotional regulation as members participate in daily/weekly exercises.

 

Minimum registered 7. Maximum 10.

Registration deadline: TBD

Service Facilitators: 1.5 hours ISDE must be approved in module the Friday prior to anticipated start.
