OPEN DOOR Center for Change offers full-service Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). DBT is a program that is aimed at reducing impulsivity and helping people acquire new skills to gain effectiveness in their lives. DBT was developed by Marsha Linehan and teaches people key skills in four modules: Emotion Regulation, Core Mindfulness, Interpersonal Effectiveness, and Distress Tolerance. In addition to participating in the four skills training modules, participants complete daily diary cards and have access to 24/7 phone coaching to help avoid behaviors that are problematic. All staff at OPEN DOOR are DBT trained or aware. We currently offer 12 groups per week for adolescents and adults. If you are interested in learning more about DBT or want to join our program, please complete the webform on our Contact Us page.
