Somatic Yoga Therapy

What: 8 weeks of Somatic Experiencing, yoga movement, breathing, mindfulness, and DBT exercises to build somatic awareness, conversation, and integrate skills for regulation.

 

Target population and skills: CCS clients with desire to use movement, breath work, mindfulness, Somatic Experiencing, DBT, and journaling to regulate mood, and create a sense of physical and mental wellness.

 

When:

Tuesdays: August 5, 12, 19, 26, Sept. 2, 9, 16 and 30. NO CLASS Sept. 23.

Description: For 8 weeks clients will slow down to build self-awareness and connection with the somatic responses in their bodies. We will learn how to build a somatic conversation to identify sensations in our bodies and integrate somatic and DBT skills to experience and regulate emotions and sensations held in our bodies. We will have time for journaling at the beginning and end of each session for integration.

 

Participants are responsible for bringing their own yoga mat.

Space will be limited to 6 participants.
